Gis Based Educational Information System in Nanded City

Abstract :

Present paper study education information system in Nanded city. Nanded is known for educational hub in Marathwada. The GIS application is very useful for information system. Use data is of any information system. Any kind of analysis or results mainly depends upon reliability and accuracy of data. The efficiency and performance of any information system highly depends on nature, quality and availability of data. Google Earth is used for collecting geographical locational points. GPS method is used to collect the lat/long points. This institutional set-up positions the city to develop strategies around the existing strengths and provide further opportunities in a dedicated manner for education purposes. This will provide supply of educated staff/ workforce, which would be required to support economic development of the city. The historic area is a great learning resource. It provides a wealth of opportunity for research, education and lifelong learning on a wide variety of cultural, historical and social subjects. The area has Centers for learning Sanskrit and study of Vedas. However, the school numbers are increasing but Quality of Education is Poor.
