Abstract :

We report on the faication of highly ordered TiO2 nanotubes arrays for the super capacitor application, by electrochemical anodization of titanium metal foil in an organic electrolyte solution containing fluorides ions. The anodization process was performed at fixed potential (volts) with various anodization times (2hr, 3hr, 4hr and 5hr) and obtained highly ordered nanotubes with different diameter, tube length and wall thickness. Structural investigation on the TiO2 nanotubes arrays showed the presence of the anatase phase for all the samples that confirmed from the Raman spectroscopy. To study the charge– storage behavior of TiO2 nanotubes (specific capacitance), the electrochemical technique was employed by using cyclic voltammetry. Since, we prepared different samples of pore size and tube length, we obtained the specific capacitance that varied from 2.3mFcm–2 and 1.8mFcm–2 for 4hr and 6hr samples respectively
