Abstract :

This paper seeks to examine conflicts that sprout out of the contact between various cultures with differing perceptions on socio–cultural, traditional, political, and religious issues inThe Raped Amulet. The paper looks at these ideological conflicts within the dynamics of multiculturalism and Postcolonial Marxistconception of ideology.Thepaper concludes that the binary operations that result from the contact and mixture of cultures in an era of globalization tend to place postcolonial subjectsin an inferior position so as to enhance a neocolonial enterprise.
