Impact of CORONA VIRUS on Indian education system for 2020 Session

Abstract :

The risk of corona virus, responsible for more than three lakh deaths worldwide, is constantly increasing. After the World Health Organization declared corona an epidemic, the central and state governments in India issued instructions to ban public ceremonies, temporarily shutting down malls, cinema, gymnasiums and educational institutions against their own Efforts are on the war footing in rescue operations. A report published by UNESCO estimated that more than 290 million students from 22 countries would be adversely affected by the corona virus epidemic. In these countries, about 180 million students may have to leave after the government orders to close schools. The covid–19 scare is giving sleepless nights to college students who were to appear in entrance exams like JEE for B. TECH admissions and/ or to elegance 12 students performing for board exams. KCET, GUJCET & MHT CET (supposed to be carried out in June) are predicted to be postponed to might also tentatively. CBSE has additionally postponed its exam for now and will launch the revised dates on March 31, 2020. Due to this corona virus all statutory bodies like NEET, JEE, NTA NET etc postponed their entrance exam further next notices. UGC panels are also planning to postpone their universities exams and new sessions which are normally started I July. In short, we can say everything has been postponed due to pandemic corona virus. Many of parents and students seeking the answer of their doubts like Will they face a hard time to get admission in higher education? Will they get better education during corona time? What about universities campus placements who are going to pass out in May 2020? Will Indian education system sustain their quality of higher education during this pandemic?
