Magnetic Resonance Imaging in a patient with Möbius Syndrome

Shinji Makino

Abstract :

We present magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in a 5–year–old girl with Möbius syndrome. MRI revealed abnormal ainstem morphology with flattening of the floor of the fourth ventricle. In addition, axial T2–weighted MRI were performed to assess the cranial nerves. The oculomotor, the trigeminal, the facial, and the auditory nerves were normal bilaterally. In contrast, the left abducens nerve was detected, but the right abducens nerve was absent.
