MORAL VALUES OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS OF IMPHAL EAST AND WEST DISTRICTS OF MANIPUR.

Abstract :

 The present paper attempts to study the need and requirement of Moral Values of the Secondary School students who are the future of our Nation. Descriptive–survey method was used as the methodology of the study. In the present study, 246 secondary school students were selected through stratified random sampling technique. A self–designed Questionnaire with the two point scale of ‘+1’ for ‘Agree’ and ‘0’ for ‘Disagree’ was employed as a tool of the study. For the analysis and interpretation, Mean Percentage was used as the statistical technique. From the study, it came to know that majority of the secondary schools students have higher level of moral values. The difference in the level of moral values may be due to the different way of inculcation of moral values by the parents and teachers at home and school as well as keen involvement with their peers
