Optimization of Sand Casting Parameters using Factorial Design

Abstract :

This study aims to optimize various significant process parameters of green sand casting of a cast iron alloy (FG 260) flywheel. The process parameters considered are green strength, clay content, and pouring temperature. The result shows that green strength is the significant parameter while clay content and pouring temperature are non - signifcant parameters.
