ORAL PYOGENIC GRANULOMA – RED NODULAR OVERGROWTH: A CASE REPORT

Abstract :

<p>Pyogenic granuloma is a common, usually solitary, benign sessile or pedunculated vascular proliferation of the skin and mucous memanes, presenting as hemorrhagic growth. It usually arises in response to various stimuli such as low–grade local irritation, traumatic injury, hormonal factors, or certain kinds of drugs hyperplasia of connective tissue in response to local irritants. Gingiva is the most common site affected followed by buccal mucosa, tongue and lips. This case report describes a case of pyogenic granuloma present since 3 months in a 15–year–old female patient where the lesion was managed by surgical intervention.</p>
