Recovery Performance of Sample PACS in Andhra Pradesh

Abstract :

This paper studies the repayment performance of the sample Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACSs) in Chittoor and Nellore Districts of Andhra Pradesh.. We observed that the recovery performance of sample societies in Chittoor and Nellore districts is not satisfactory, because of the borrower’s attitude, ability and willingness to pay cooperative loans. The defaulters are more in number in Chittor district when compared to Nellore district in the same manner the amount of overdue is high in Chittor district than Nellore district..
