Abstract :
Regeneration is defined as the biologic process by which the architecture and function of lost tissues are restored. Over the past two decades, various materials and techniques have been used in an attempt to achieve periodontal regeneration. The 1996 World Work– shop in Periodontics defined three regenerative procedures – defect deidement by flap curettage, bone grafting and guided tissue regeneration (GTR).
