Abstract :

Over the last 30 years, ultrasound has greatly advanced, and now its most common use is in contact mode for evaluation of the posterior segment in eyes with media opacification. Diagnostic B–scan ultrasound can accurately define intraocular structures and give valuable information on the status of the lens, vitreous, retina, choroid, and sclera. Aim of the study is to highlight the importance of ultrasound in the assessment of ocular examination
