Sarcomatoid carcinomas of Head and neck: our experience with review of literature

Abstract :

 Sarcomatoidcarcinoma of headandneck,a subtype ofsquamous cellcarcinoma isa unique andrare neoplasm,composed of bothmalignantepithelialandmesenchymalcomponents.A seriesof20patientswithSarcomatoid carcinomaispresented,alongwithananalysis of potentialprognosticfactors,outcomefollowing treatment,andpatternsoffailure.Detailsof patientswerereviewedfromhospitalrecordsofsurgical,radiotherapy andpathology departments.
