Abstract :
Human VL is a life theartening protozoan parasitic disease caused by
LD complex.There are more than 20 leishmanial species which can be . transmitted by at least 30 different species of phlebotomin sandflies.
VL is the second largest parasitic killer in the world after
Malaria.It infects around 200,000 to 500,000 people each year
world wide.
The aim of this study was to ascertain the efficacy of single intra–
Venous dose of liposomal amphotericin B in resistant cases of KA.
