Abstract :

OBJECTIVE: To assess the morphological changes in the nerves & to grade the damage of nerve based on the sonological appearance. MATERIALS & OBJECTS: The Study was done between 2016–2017 in the hospital based population in Dr. PSIMS & RF. Study sample total 15 patients were included in the study who are presented to radiology department with nerve pain & thickening. All the patients were examined with frequency ranging (7–12 MHz) & assessed with Doppler . RESULTS: Of the 12 patients 2 patients presented with increased thickness of the peripheral nerves & 2 patients were presented with unilateral ulnar nerve thickening rest all presented with involvement of both the ulnar & common peroneal nerves bilaterally. In all the 12 patients 3 patients had increased vascularity on colour Doppler. All the patients commonly presented with thickening of ulnar nerve mainly in the medial epicondylar region.
