Abstract :

Phenomena of spontaneous regression of malignancy is very rare but carries special interest as it is concerned with the disease for which only limited treatment options are available. In literature more or less it is reported for almost all different types of cancers in human, with the highest numbers in patients with renal cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma, haematological malignancies, neuroblastoma etc. Thorough understanding of the process of spontaneous regression will be helpful in better interpretation of nature of cancer along with the possibility of improved methods of cancer prevention and treatment in future.
