Study on Comorbid Disorders Among Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (Adhd)

Abstract :

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood neuropsychiatric disorders. The present investigation is an attempt to study about the comorbid disorders among children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder age from 7 to 10 years. The Sample consisted of 50 children diagnosed with ADHD studying in a regular school belonging to the Chennai city. They were divided into two groups with 25 in each. First group was children with both parents and second group was children with single parent. Vanderbilt ADHD diagnostic parent rating scale was administered to parent. Obtained data were subjected to t–test. Result showed that there was a significant difference between the Children with single parent and children with both parents.
