Synthesis, characterization and determining the antibacterial effect of ZnO nanopowder against the pathogenic bacteria’s

Abstract :

 In this paper, ZnO nanopowder was prepared by co–precipitation method. The sample was characterized by Xray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), UV–Vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and photoluminescence. The average grain size of the prepared ZnO was determined by XRD. The purity of ZnO nano material crystalline sample was confirmed by photoluminescence. The antibacterial efficiency of ZnO nanopowder was studied using disc diffusion method. ZnO Nano powder has showed highest impact on the common animal pathogen E.coli and K. pneumonia.
