Systemic Candidiasis and its Clinical Management in Pigeon

Abstract :
The present paper deals with isolation and clinical management of systemic candidiasis in pigeon which was showing symptoms like regurgitation, anorexia and whitish plaques in the mouth. Identification of the yeast was done based on the colony morphology, Gram staining, presence of pseudohyphae, chlamydospores and production of germ tubes. After confirmation the yeast was subjected to antifungal sensitivity test and treated with floconazole tab.
