Abstract :

Background: Granulomatous mastitis(GM) treatment many treatment protocols. Methylprednisolone at physiological dose, which results is 2/3 of the dose in the morning and 1/3 of the dose in the evening, has not been sufficiently investigated in studies on GM treatment in literature. The aim of this study is to investigate the efficacy of the physiological dose.

Methods: The patients were divided into two groups: normal dose(ND) and physiological dose(PD). Retreatment with methylprednisolone or different treatments was determined for patients with recurrence according to their response in the previous treatment process.

Results : There was no statistically significant difference found between the two groups.

Conclusion: The total dose was reduced by halving the evening dose in accordance with the biorhythm, in which the same results were obtained. We believe that it would be statistically significant with a larger number of patients.
