Abstract :

Type 1 Diabetes mellitus (DM) is known to have a significant psychological impact on adolescents. Different strategies are proposed to treat the psychological effects of this condition in these patients. Although Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral Family Therapy are being used to help these patients for quite some time, this review looks into the various studies that decide the best approach towards addressing the psychological aspect in this condition in the patients as well as caregivers.
