Abstract :

Background: – Uterinearteriovenous malformation (AVM) is a rare cause of abnormal uterine bleeding.AVMs can be defined as a vascular structural anomaly involving abnormal communication between arteries and veins that bypass the capillary system. Uterine arteiovenous malformation demands surgicalmanagement andhysterectomy due to its notoriouspresentation. Selective uterine arteryembolization is a modern minimalinvasive technique to treat patient conservatively leading to a promising outcome.

Materials and methods: –All patients of congenital and acquired cases of uterine AV malformation were

included in our study.Their demographic data, clinical presentation and treatment procedures were

vividly recordedand followed upfor two years.

Result: –From April2015 toMarch 2017 we included total seven patients. Theywere managed firstly by medical then surgical method, if necessary. Selective bilateral uterine artery embolisation showed good fertility preserving method.

Conclusion: –Selective uterine artery embolisation is a newer conservative approach towards challenging AVM as a preferable method in childbeå age group
