Abstract :

Adult-onset still’s disease (AOSD) is a rare systemic inflammatory disorder of unknown etiology and pathogenesis. ASOD is characterized by high spiking fever, rash, arthritis and multi-organ involvement. Macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) is a rare but life threatening complication of AOSD. Here, we describe a case of female patient with MAS as a complication of ASOD with highest serum ferritin level. Her manifestations responded well to high dose steroid therapy and disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs).
