A Comparative Study of Two MRI Brain Tumor Classification Techniques

Abstract :

 MR images are progressively emerging as a significant measure of ain activity and they possess immense potential for the diagnosis and treatment of ain diseases and abnormalities. MRI ain tumour images classification is a difficult task due to the variance and complexity of tumours. This work presents an automated system for efficient classification of MRI ain tumours using support vector machine (SVM). The results obtained from the above method are compared with artificial neural networks (ANNs). The performance analysis shows that qualitative results obtained from the proposed technique is better than ANN.
