Abstract :

This present study attempts to examine the Personal and Professional Life Adjustment of Teachers Teaching at Secondary Schools in relation to Gender, Locale and Marital status variation and to find out the relationship between Personal and Professional adjustment of secondary school teachers. The Adjustment Inventory by Mangal(1971) has been used to collect 100 secondary school teachers drawn from the ten schools of Murshidabad district of WestBengal. Simple random sampling method has been adopted for the selection of the sample. From the analysis of the results, it was found that in case of Personal and Professional life adjustment of secondary school teachers no significant difference was found in relation to Gender, Locale and Marital status variation. But there was significant relationship in between the Personal and Professional life adjustment of secondary school teachers.
