A Study on the Declining Nutritional Status and Quality of Life in Breast Cancer Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy with Cisplatin Drug

Abstract :

The present study attempts to evaluate the declining nutritional status and quality of life in patients with east cancer diagnosis undergoing chemotherapy with cisplatin drug. This study consists of two groups, control group includes normal subjects free from diseases and experimental group includes east cancer subjects undergoing chemotherapy with the drug cisplatin. Dietary behavior and anthropometric indices were assessed in each subject before the commencement of the treatment and at the end of the three consecutive cycles. The study revealed that there was a significant decline in the nutrient intake (energy, carbohydrate, protein and fat), body mass index and the quality of life as well between the cycles of chemotherapy
