Abstract :

Acute abdomen is one of the most important surgical emergencies encountered in clinical practice. With a variety of possible differential diagnosis, acute abdomen presents a challenge to the emergency surgeon. Following clinical examination, ultrasound forms the first stay of investigation in many settings. This study aims to establish the usefulness of ultrasonography in cases of acute abdomen by compå it with the laparotomy findings.
