BENIGN OPTIC NERVE GLIOMA IN ADULT–A RARE CASE REPORT

Abstract :

 We present a case of 30 year old female came with complaint of proptosisof right eye with painless, progressive diminution of vision since last 1 year. The right eyewas protruded axially forward causing severe cosmetic blemish. There was no PL in right eye. Fundus showed total optic atrophy. MRI Orbit showed features/ suggestive/of right optic nerve glioma with intracranial extension. Eye was enucleated along with intraorbital excision of tumor mass and postoperatively artificial eyeshell was placed. The histopathology showed optic nerve glioma of low grade (Pliocytic type).
