Abstract :

The determination of some biochemical alteration in rat blood under the effect of Age have an important role in biotransformation and cell defense mechanism , this attributed to the most enzyme activities which declined with advanced age . The present study was carried out on a total number of Sixty male rats were selected and kept under good hygienic measurements and divided into three groups each one contains twenty rats for 1, 3 and 6 months. The result showed the most enzyme activities were declined with advanced age as (Glucose–6–phosphate dehydrogenates, Reduced glutathione, Glutathione peroxidase, Cholinesterase and superoxide dismutase while Gamma glutamyl transferase was increased with aging and normocytic normochromic anemia with increasing age.
