Abstract :

Bochdalek hernia ia type of congenital diaphragmatic hernia(CDH) .It occurs due to failure of posterolateral diaphragmatic foramina to fuse in utero. It is mostly a paediatric disease .In adults it is a rare entity with incidence of about 0.17%.1 Majority are incidental findings and asymptomatic. Obstructed diaphragmatic hernia as a cause of intestinal obstruction in adults is very rare and represents a considerable diagnostic challenge. We have reported two such cases for its rarity
