Abstract :

Achalasia is a neurodegenerative disorder of the lower oesophageal sphincter which occurs rarely in children when compared to adults. These children present with progressive dysphagia, cough, recurrent vomiting, regurgitation of feeds, failure to thrive or weight loss.
