Dr. M. Jawahar, Dr. Dulari Gupta, Dr. Lakshmi Narasimhan

Abstract :

Sarcoidosis is a multisystem granulomatous disease of unknown etiology(1). The incidence of sarcoidosis is 1–40/100000 people and varies with ethnicity(2). Neurosarcoidosis can affect practically any part of the neuro axis(3). CNS complications occur in 5–10 % patients with sarcoidosis(2). Neurosarcoidosis should be considered in patients with known sarcoidosis who develop neurological complaints and in patients who present de novo with findings consistent with neurosarcoidosis. Isolated neurosarcoidosis is uncommon with 80% developing systemic sarcoidosis within 6 years of presentation(5). In this case series we present 4 cases of neurosarcoidosis presenting as multiple cranial neuropathies, myelopathy with bladder involvement and in association with myasthenia gravis
