Abstract :

In Data Envelopment Analysis applications, if crisp data are not available, and if the data are expressed in intervals, one seeks to estimate efficiency scores for decision making units. The scores obtained under optimistic and pessimistic hypotheses are also bounds but not crisp values. This study provides a methodology to evaluate bounds for directional distance efficiency scores, the production possibility set being the Free Disposable Hull. The methodology is implemented to obtain numerical result for total manufacturing sectors of 28 Indian States.
