Effect of Organizational Commitment on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour among Teachers

Abstract :

 The aim of the present study was to examine the effect of organizational commitment on organizational citizenship behaviour among secondary school teachers of Faizabad district of Uttar Pradesh. 50 secondary school teachers (25 Rural and 25 Urban) were randomly selected for this study. Organizational commitment scale and organizational citizenship behaviour scale were administered to all participants at school premises. Results indicated that organizational commitment significantly affected the citizenship behaviour of secondary school teachers. These variables showed a significant positive correlation, although rural and urban background showed similar pattern of relationship
