EVENT GREENING PRACTICES

Abstract :

Event management as an industry is expanding rapidly and building considerable global presence. With such advancement, this sector can have a significant impact on the environment keeping in mind the enormous logistics involved. From generating carbon emissions to producing humungous amounts of waste, this industry has altered the environment considerably. This calls for a comprehensive understanding of its operations and consequently, building a sustainable framework for all of its functions. This paper therefore aims at providing a structure for incorporating sustainable practices while organizing events. It also focuses on educating and creating awareness among masses about the necessity of event greening in current times.
