Impact of Alcohol on College Students: A Social Work Intervention Model

Abstract :

 The prime focus of the study is to increase the knowledge among the college students regarding the impact of alcohol usage and through that developing  a positive attitude among the youth population. By doing this we can reduce the risk of various psycho, social, economic and physical problems among the younger generation. This study aims to build a social work intervention model about the impact of alcohol on college students. A total number of 434(male) college students participated in the study. The result shows that the intervention package used for this study is specifically designed to address the needs of the respondents and it also found to be successful since it created a significant change in the knowledge and attitude about the impact of alcohol among the respondents.
