Abstract :

The athletes’ strength determines the chance of obtaining significant results in a game. This motor skill plays a major role in driving volleyball practice performance. Therefore, it is necessary to shape the volleyball players' strength training. The aim of this research is to analyze whether using alternating contractions in training schemes increases the efficiency of attack hits. The research subjects were Super League club players. The competitive phase lasted approximately 5 months, and the training cycle ended with a restorative phase that facilitated physical regeneration and overcompensation for the next cycle. For this purpose, we recommend using classical methods in preparation for developing strength, according to the forms of labor required by volleyball and also methods based on alternate contraction duties.
