Influence of Injection Pressure on Emission Characteristics of Di Diesel Engine with Blends of Biodiesel

Ganesan. S, A. Elango

Abstract :

It is an overwhelming dispute that the use of biodiesel instead of petro diesel causes a diminution in harmful exhaust emissions from engines. This necessitates the search of a renewable alternate fuel which is environment friendly. One of the important factors which influence the emission of diesel engine is fuel injection pressure. The objective of this research is to investigate the environmental aspects of lemon grass oil bio–fuel in a single cylinder diesel engine at 200bar, 220 bar and 240 bar injection pressure to study its effect on emission .Compared to neat diesel, blend B20 exhibits lower engine emissions of unburnt hydrocarbon, carbon monoxide and oxides of nitrogen at75% load. The High injection pressure of 240 bar shows less significant emissions of unburnt hydrocarbon, carbon monoxide and oxides of nitrogen than 200 and 220 bars at 75%l load. CONCLUSION:Mortality in OP poisoning is contributed by various factors.Early diagnosis and treatment can significantly improve the outcome.
