KNOWLEDGE ON INNOVATIVE TEACHING TECHNIQUES OF TEACHER EDUCATORS

Abstract :

Teaching technique is the strategy that is carried out by the teacher while teaching in the classroom. The present study is aimed to study the knowledge of innovative teaching techniques among teacher educators. 50 teacher educators in and around cheyyar is selected for the present study through normative survey. The rating scale was developed and adopted. The findings revealed that out of 50 teacher educators 33 teacher educators have demonstrated moderate level of knowledge in innovative teaching techniques. The study recommends the need for innovative teaching techniques for a teacher educator to develop teaching competency among prospective teachers.
