Link Prediction in Protein Networks

Abstract :

Protein–protein interactions play a vital role in identifying the outcome of a vast majority of cellular mechanisms. Complexity of living systems arises as a result of these interactions. Predicting protein interactions has attracted much attention in recent years. The main difficulty for link prediction in protein network is the huge size of the network. This paper proposes an efficient method for link prediction in a weighted protein network using local random walk. The result shows that the method give better prediction than other random–walk based methods.
