Local anaesthesia is safe alternative for Chronic Subdural Hematoma

Abstract :

Chronic subdural hematoma is one of theneurosurgical emergency commonly affect elderly people.It needs emergent action by the aneasthetist and the neurosurgeon. General anaesthesia is commonly used for burr hole tapping. Elderly people with other co morbid illness like diabetes and cardiovascular disease Local anaesthesia is a safe alternative. This study helps to find out the patient satisfaction and surgeons comfort for the local anaesthesia in Chronic subdural hematoma cases operated by a single surgeon
