PULSE THERAPY: A decisive treatment modality in dermatological disorders

Abstract :

 Pulse therapy is the process of administering suprapharmacologic doses of drugs especially corticosteroids in an alternating manner to enhance the therapeutic effect and reduce the side effects of the drug. Various drugs have been employed in this therapeutic procedure either as a single drug or in combination with other drugs.This paper intends to throw light on the various available pulse therapy regimens with dosages, indications and contraindications in detail.
