Refractive Indices, Densities And Excess Properties For Liquid Mixtures (Cetane + Alkanols) At Different Temperatures

Abstract :

Refractive index and density have been measured at (293,298,303) K for binary mixtures of Cetane + 1–Alkanols (C –C ) over the whole mole fraction range. From these data the excess molar volume, 4 6 excess molar refraction and excess refractive index were calculated. These quantities are discussed in terms of intermolecular interactions as well as role of hydrogen bonding upon refractive indices of liquid mixtures.
