Abstract :
The present study has been carried out to assess the traffic noise level (Leq) at five major crossings of NH1 A highway of Jammu city at three time periods of the day viz. Morning (8–10hrs.), noon (12–2 hrs.) and evening (6–8 hrs.) for three seasons i.e. rainy, summer and winter season. Besides this traffic flow rate for the sites was also assessed during the study.
