SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERISATION OF SOME NOVEL SUBSTITUTED 1,2–DIONES

Abstract :

<p>An efficient benign oxidation of α–methylene carbonyl compounds and cyclic α–carbonyl compounds for a facile and one pot synthesis of 1,2– diones was carried out with non– toxic and metal free condition at ambient temperature. Short reaction time , easy work up and moderate to high yield are the special features of this method.</p>
