Synthesis and Characterization of 3–Chloro–1–(7–nitrobenzothiazole–2–yl) – 4 – substituted phenyl azetidin– 2 – one

Abstract :

 Novel 3–Chloro–1–(7– nitrobenzothiazole–2–yl)– 4– substituted phenyl azetidin–2–one compounds were synthesized by condensing Chloroacetyl chloride with Schiff’s base using ionic Liquid. The resulting compounds were characterized by IR, 1H–NMR and Mass spectroscopy. All the compounds have been screened for their antimicrobial activities
