Synthesis, characterization and antibacterial studies of some new 2–(1,5–diphenyl–4,5–dihydro–1H–pyrazol–3–yl)pyridine derivatives

Abstract :
An efficient and practical synthesis of five compounds of pyrazoline derivatives structures was achieved through cyclization of phenyl hydrazine with α,β––unsaturated ketones (chalcones) using glacial acetic acid as catalyst under thermal conditions. These compounds have been characterized by FT–IR, elemental analysis (C.H.N.) and 1H NMR spectroscopyand biological activity; the anti–bacterial activity indicated that compounds possessed a oad spectrum of activity
