Abstract :

A series of compounds were synthesized from 2–imino–5–phenyl–1, 3–thiazolidin–4–one which was prepared from a one–pot three component condensation reaction of benzaldehyde, thio urea and chloroform in the presence of potassium hydroxide under Reeve’s condition. All the newly synthesized compounds 3(a–e) were characterized by IR, 1HNMR, 13C NMR spectral data. All the compounds were screened for their anti bacterial and antifungal activities
