Abstract :
Background: WHO has defined drug use research as the marketing, distribution, prescription and use of drugs in a society with special emphasis on the resulting medical, social and economic consequences. Various studies have documented irrational drug use in many developed as well as developing nations. Objectives: To assess drug use pattern in primary health centre (PHC) of Northern India. Methods: This was a prospective, cross–sectional, observational study conducted in PHC of Jammu district using. Data was analysed as per WHO prescription indicators. Results: Conclusion: The results of this study will help formulate policy to promote rational use of drugs.
