Throughput Improvment For Cell Edge Users

Sandip Mahale, Prof. Nitin Jain, Prof. Rupesh Dubey

Abstract :

The number of cellular users are increasing exponentially. For tele –operators point of view requirents are improved coverage and capacity, low cost, clearity, offers choices of services to customer and achive the customer satisfaction. Users at the cell edge in a cellular network suffer from low data rate due to low SINR Cooperative transmission schemes which are used in wireless networks to improve the spectral efficiency. In this paper, the downlink cooperation in a multi–cell cellular network is analyzed. Selective Cooperation, where the selection criterion is based on throughput, is proposed. In a resource fairness cooperation, the user capacity of a cell–edge user is not always better than normal transmission. By doing selective cooperation, the cell–edge user’s throughput is improved.
