Two Dimensional Unsteady State Mathematical Model for dispersion of Chlorine in Water in a Channel

Abstract :
The two dimensional unsteady–state mass conservation equation for dispersion of chlorine in water in channel flow is solved analytically. The results obtained analytically for the model and their graphical representation is shown for various values of diffusivity, reaction rate and bulk flow velocity. The model can be used to maintain optimum chlorination in the drinking water.
